Handy Street Fest Party

Handy Street Party is the first Saturday of the WC Handy Music Festival in Florence, Alabama. They bring the best local, original music to the people free of charge! Come party with them on Poplar Street to celebrate Handy and the best music in The Shoals!

Please join me and the team for my 4th year as MC of the @handystreetparty on South Poplar street in front of @soulwingery.

Come out on Saturday (July 19th) from 5-9 to experience music from my incredible friends, @bold.bloom and @thadsaajid and Co. This year our headliner is none other than the soulful @lamontlandersofficial! AND it is completely FREE to attend!

There will be amazing food offerings from Soul Wingery & @rivertowncoffee - delicious adult beverages will be served in to-go “blue cups” at @eatattacomama and @singinriver brewery!

I’m grateful to belong to a community that rallies around the very best causes. The Handy Street Party was born to give rising local artists a bigger voice within the Shoals’ W.C. Handy Music Festival.

By honoring the musical legacy laid down by pioneers like W.C. Handy, we’re opening doors for a new generation of diverse, young creatives to share their gifts with all of us.

This FREE event is organized by the Soul Music Preservation Society, a registered 5013c organization.
